We Christians in the U.S. are pathetic. The atrocities committed against our brothers and sisters are patently ignored. We are more concerned about gay marriage and the teaching of evolution in schools than with the rape/torture/murder of Christians across the Middle East and Africa. And I openly include myself with this weak, voiceless group of Christians who will not demand that answer be given for the horrors being committed by ISIS and their ilk.
How did we become so weak, so non-caring, and so useless? I wish I knew. It’s simply amazing to me that we can marshal resources to help victims of any other calamity (earthquakes, famine, disease) and ignore the inhumane genocide being committed against Middle East/African Christians.
Why are we so weak? Why won’t we demand that our leaders respond? Why do we turn such a blind eye to this brutality?
I wish I knew.
