On Tuesday, March 31, NYPA Board of Trustees shirked their fiduciary responsibility when they knowingly elected an inept hack, Richie Kessel, as their President and C.E.O.
NYPA employees have told Street Corner Conservative that Agency morale is at an all time low and many highly skilled and experienced workers are planning to retire or seek employment elsewhere to escape Kessel’s reign of incompetence. Sadly, this exodus will provide Kessel with opportunities to hire more fourth-rate Long Island politicos.
Today Street Corner Conservative adds a new feature to the Kessel/NYPA Watch, “The Kessel Countdown” which will tally the days until the new governor of New York takes office and hands Kessel a pink slip.

The joke of it is that we also have Gil Quiniones and his overpaid and underqualified cronies mucking things up along with Kessel and his team of hacks.
The long-time NYPA employees are fed up with these two egomaniacs and we can’t wait for them to be shown the door.

Along with Kessel and his regime, please add Gil Quiniones and his team of overpriced hacks to the list of problems at NYPA. We are being overrun by people that are short on real electric industry experience and long…very long, on salary. Both Kessel and Quiniones think nothing of creating highly paid positions out of thin air to be filled by their cronies. Even worse, one of Quiniones’ latest appointees was brought in after the existing manager was pushed aside in order to create room for her. One of Quiniones’ young pets went from an $80k per year job at NYCEDC to a ridiculous $120k overnight; while Quiniones himself doubled his salary once he landed at NYPA.
The many dedicated (non-political) professionals at NYPA that have given many years of their lives to this place are absolutely disgusted with Kessel and Quiniones. Both of these hacks need to be shown the door immediately.
