Word is that Kessel is about to bring a number of people from LIPA including one or two politically connected people who are related to important pols. In Albany yesterday where our political class was gathered for Patterson’s State of the State friends tell me that Kessel was telling one and all that he wanted to take over LIPA and mush it together with NYPA. How that helps the upstate economy which is getting worse every day, I don’t get. Will the last person left in Buffalo please turn out the lights. Happy New Year.
